Sea salt is simply the result of seawater evaporating, and it is not enriched with iodine.

Often pointed out, salt is nonetheless an essential part of life. For good reason, the sodium it contains is essential for cellular exchanges, the maintenance of normal blood pressure and muscle contraction. The less refined the salt, the richer it is in trace elements and other micronutrients: magnesium, potassium, iron, etc. On the contrary, the more refined the salt, the more its sodium chloride content increases to the detriment of other micronutrients. Ideally, it is therefore recommended to choose an unrefined coarse salt whose qualities will be incomparable. In cooking and in the food industry, coarse salt is also used as a flavor enhancer and for its preservative properties.
