Food grade PDV salt is a high purity salt with a sodium chloride content of 99.8%. This high level of purity is obtained through a careful crystallization process and the use of a particularly pure and unadulterated brine.

Sea salt is simply the result of seawater evaporating, and it is not enriched with iodine.
