Short grain brown rice is one of the tastiest rice and is an excellent source of whole grain grains. After cooking, the grains are soft and cling to each other. Because of these properties, short-grain brown rice is particularly suitable for recipes in which a creamy texture is desired, such as puddings, rice balls, croquettes, paella and risotto.


Cooking instructions:
1 cup Lundberg short grain brown rice
1¾ cup water or broth
1 tsp. butter (optional)
salt to taste

Mix rice, water and butter (optional) in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover with an airtight lid, reduce heat to low and cook for 45 minutes. Remove from heat (with lid!) and steam for 10 minutes. Stir with a fork.

If the rice is crunchy at the end of the cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 tablespoons. liquid and cook longer.
