The camerise is a small oval berry, often compared to an elongated form of the blueberry. Also known as edible honeysuckle or haskap among anglophones, camerise is an emerging culture in North America.

The camerise has a blue skin similar to the blueberry, but its flesh is intense purple. The fruit has very small seeds, almost imperceptible in the mouth. The berry juice has a very intense burgundy color.

The camerise has a unique and complex taste, often associated with blackcurrant, blueberry and raspberry. Some detect a hint of blackberry, nectarine, plum and rhubarb. Fresh or processed, camerise reveals truly unique flavours that can vary from one cultivar to another.
