Baptized "mushroom of immortality" by the peoples of Siberia, where it grows in abundance just like in Quebec, this strange blackish growth growing on the bark of birches would have the highest concentration of antioxidants, in addition to be rich in minerals, flavonoids and enzymes and naturally boost immunity. Its picking is done rather in winter, and it is advisable to leave approximately 30% of the mushroom on the tree which it colonizes in order to preserve the species. Its flesh, orange, must be cut into pieces to dry well, before being reduced to powder to flavor sauces or be consumed as an infusion.

With subtle aromas of vanilla and maple water, chaga is an ideal spice for an infusion.

USES
This "forest diamond", as the Japanese call it, is ideal as a wellness infusion, as it is full of antioxidants and polyphenols.
